Field Service Engineer

We are now looking to recruit an experienced maintenance engineer to a new role covering planned maintenance across our client portfolio. It is likely that you will have had maintenance engineering experience preferably within the rubber moulding industry but certainly on industrial machinery, gained either on an in-house basis, or in support of an equipment supplier. Regardless of where your experience has been gained, you must be able to display a flair for fault finding and remediation, with significant knowledge of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems and the software that controls them. This role will be based 100% of the time out of the office, travelling to clients in both the UK and across Europe, and consideration will only be given to candidates who are comfortable with the amount of time spent away from home during normal working week and occasional weekends. Field Sales Engineer
Pan Stone Europe are a very successful company who specialise in supplying rubber injection moulding machines, rubber compression moulding machines and ancillary equipment and servicing. Our clients are UK and Europe based and the machines are manufactured to specific specifications and requirements to meet their clients manufacturing needs.
Due to continued success they have an immediate vacancy for a Field Sales Engineer.
The role will involve working out of the Wrexham head office where you will spend approx 5 days per month, following up leads, dealing with enquiries, quotations and providing technical assistance and guidance on products.
The remainder of the time will be spent out in the field visiting potential clients in both the UK and across Europe. Working in a consultative capacity you will speak with potential clients to discuss their manufacturing needs and requirements by fact finding and offering technical solutions to create new business and open new accounts. Clients will be found in all sectors such as automotive, aerospace, oil, food, energy etc, etc.
There is no standard equipment and machines are normally manufactured on a bespoke technical basis depending on specific requirements. This role would therefore suit a Sales Engineer or Business Development Manager with a technical sales background and possibly somebody who has experience within capital equipment sales. Experience within injection moulding, rubber, pneumatics, hydraulics or a similar technical product would also be beneficial, as would a HNC or degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Candidates applying for this role must be highly driven, be used to working autonomously in the field and be used to developing new business through technical consultation.
